The 7th annual 500 kart mile race at the Viana Farm racing facility in Cotia Brazil is scheduled for November 8/9 this year, the week before the Supernationals.  Brazil is home to many famous drivers and is top rated vacation region for many of the successful European Pro drivers, who can sometimes be found in attendance.

It is expected to draw 300 drivers on 72 teams this year.  The list of previous contestants is well distinguished; Juan Pablo Montoya, Christian Fittipaldi, Tony Kanaan, Rubens Barrichello, Oriol Servia, Michael Jourdain Jr. with some of these drivers also expected to compete this year.  Alex Zanardi has entered with a kart specially prepared for him, this will be shared by Jimmy Vassar.

 
Regulations call for a safe reliable package to endure the 500 miles of racing generally taking 11-1/2 hours to complete, depending on weather.  Two classes are allowed, Category A and Category B, the only difference being the motors.

Kartodrom0 features 17 different track configurations and an oval.  For the 500 mile race, the 7/10 mile 14 turn configuration will be used. 

The facilities feature grandstands, lighting and are an important element to the Biland World Challenge.
