Editors note;
Perhaps the most difficult news to share with anyone is when we lose one of our own, and worse is when it comes as a result of a competition accident. On the opening day of racing, Wednesday September 24th, on the first lap of the Rotax race, Jeff Edwards was mortally wounded in a crash. Jeff passed away two days later from his injuries. There has been much discussion across the web on this tragedy, we can only add that we wish the best to his family and friends, and that we hope it stands to remind everyone that this sport never disregards the potential danger while on the track.
Two hundred and seventy seven entries all vying for the 26 Duffies to be awarded at the spectacular Thunderhill Park facility located in Willows Ca., September 23-27. Despite the tragedy, NorCal Karting managed to put on a splendid event with an ideal racing climate.
