Racer's News

March 03 - 2002 Awards presentation & dinner honored the fastest pilots in the south-central United States for participating in the best Regional Shifter program in America.   Held in the spacious Greyhound Track it is the one time a year we get to see all the racers without their trackside attire.  Its almost scary to see how well some of them clean up!

Rodney & Brett Berryhill presented the new "Traveling Trophies" for the winners.  These trophies feature a plaque that identify the class winners for each year and will be kept in a custom trophy case at Champion Racing along with pictures of each years winner.

Keeping in tradition, all the Red River Regional winners get Jackets emblazoned with their names and classes and medals, while runners-up are awarded fine trophies.

Additional awards included Most Improved Driver and Best National Driver in the Region.  Drivers drawing prizes included a Panoz Racing arrive & drive school (Sr Drivers) and Texas Motor Speedway 4-person weekend pass to any event (Jr Drivers) with a total value of over $3000.
