The schedule gave controlled
practice sessions in the morning, with qualifying in the afternoon.
The regulations rigidly control tires and fuel through Parc Freme
impound processes. Teams were given 40 minutes to check out
their tires from inventory, mount them on rims, and have their karts
ready to qualify. The process ran smoothly with time to spare.
The schedule was held tight down
to the second. Timing and scoring results were provided in
real-time for those with a Wireless Ethernet card in their PC as the AMB
files were broadcast on 802b protocol. No incidents through the
day, just hard work and fun driving. |
