RACE ON!....................SKUSA Makes a Major Announcement

After weeks of speculation it’s official, the 2003 7th Annual SuperNationals are a go.  Jim Murley, President and CEO of SKUSA announced today that the SuperNationals will again be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel in Las Vegas on Nov. 14th thru the 16th.  “We are very pleased that we were able to structure a deal with the Rio to host the most exciting Kart Race of the year.  This event is already shaping up to be the biggest Race in SKUSA history.”

A Major Announcement

Murley adds “There were many elements involved in making this event happen, most of which, is that we are also proud to announce that SKUSA has reached an agreement to merge with the new X-Karts Racing Series.  In the short time that the X-Karts Series has been around, it is apparent that they possess many of the elements that we required to take the sport of Kart Racing to the next level”.

Howard Lipkint, President of the X-Karts Racing Series, has stated “We have been ecstatic with the positive response we have gotten regarding our inaugural event and we had been looking at various ways to continue the enhancement of this wonderful sport.  When I was first contacted by SKUSA regarding the idea of putting our forces together, I was leery because of the vision that I had for our series.  But after many discussions, it became obvious that if compromises were made by all parties, this venture will prove to be a valuable asset to everyone involved in this sport.  Kart Racing will be the Next Big Thing”.

Mr. Lipkint brings with him extensive experience in television production, event management and marketing.  Along with SKUSA’s existing relationships, knowledge and experience, all of these elements will bring SKUSA’s events to the forefront of racing.

Jim Murley adds “Howard brings his experience in areas that we were short on, while our proven successful formula of racing operations, were what was missing from the X-Karts Series.  This really brings together the best of the best”.

To make this work, SKUSA will undergo a management restructure that will allow people the sole responsibility of doing what they do best.  A welcome addition to the SKUSA restructure is the naming of Mr. Craig Finer as VP, Sales and Marketing.

Mr. Finer will bring his experience and sales savvy to the organization and will be responsible for sponsor sales and marketing.

Though exact details were not disclosed, this merge takes effect immediately with the SuperNationals.  Mr. Murley has stated that a whole new look to SKUSA is on the way.  “It is our intention to announce our full National schedule at the SuperNationals.  We will also be unveiling the “new” look of SKUSA, along with some additional surprises.  Howard, Craig and myself will be a formidable team of professionals whose sole intention is to enhance the coverage and visibility of the sport of Kart Racing”.

Mr. Lipkint has announced that the SuperNationals will be a nationally televised event with the broadcast network to be announced shortly.

Additional announcements will be forthcoming in the very near future.

Meanwhile……RACE ON!
