2003 SWRA Road Racing Championship Series

The South West Racing Association brings to a close another fantastic season of racing with the last of 7 races held at No Problem Raceway in Louisana.  The SWRA headed up by President Gary Robinson has grown to become on of the premier regional road racing series in America.  With entries often well in excess of 200, racing is action packed, and under the guidance of Jim McMillan SWRA has a history of safe and fair racing for all.

Among the assets that made SWRA such a great organization are the variety of tracks available in the region.  Oak Hill in Henderson Texas was originally designed for Motorcycle GP racing, and offers a smooth wide surface with plenty of elevation changes.  It's almost as though the design was based on providing all the features perfectly matched to the needs of a 125 shifter.  More like a large sprint track, Oak Hill has plenty of 2nd gear zones for a 125, with straightway speeds in excess of 110.  For 2003, the first 4 races were held at Oak Hill for a mini-series championship "King of the Hill" that was hotly contested.  Aerial Photo of Oak Hill.

Other tracks include the spectacular Motorsports Ranch facility in Cresson Texas, Texas World Speedway, and No Problem Raceway.

The series finale was held October 17-19 with the Final Points being determined.
