FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEPRESS RELEASE For Immediate release September 1, 2003 For more information, please check out www.xkartsracing.com X-KARTS RACING SERIES TELEVISION SHOW, READY TO GO. We hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday weekend. The editing is complete and the Inaugural X-Karts Racing Series television show is ready to go. The program is an action packed one hour that will feature racing action from the event, interviews, technical information, highlights of the Hot August Nights event, and of course, the obligatory sponsor segments. Hosted by James Bates, Jamie Little and Kart Racing’s own Memo Gidley, all of the action and events from those wonderful 10 days in Reno, Nevada will be covered. Broadcast dates and times can be found on our web site at www.xkartsracing.com along with a special “Broadcast preview” on the X-Karts page. I would like to take this opportunity to truly thank everyone involved in helping make our inaugural event a success. The support and enthusiasm that we received from all of the participants helped create an atmosphere that was fun for everyone involved. Everybody’s willingness to help in any way possible was greatly appreciated. As a start-up organization, as with any business, there were bumps and hurdles that needed to be overcome, but we had a group of people, too many to individually mention, who stepped up to the plate and helped us hit a home run. We would especially like to thank our sponsors, most notably Balls Out Competition Gear, whose generosity made all of our participants feel like winners. Also, I would like to thank select members of the Northern Nevada Kart Club whose energy, knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for the X-Karts Racing Series and their understanding of the power of exposure made this event an enjoyable experience. We also need to extend our utmost gratitude to the organizers of Hot August Nights. Mr. Dave Saville, Executive Director and Mr. Bruce Walter, Director of Marketing, were essential in bringing this event to fruition. Their hard work and the extensive promotion they developed for this event brought out the largest spectator audience in the history of the Desert Park Raceway. It was quite a sight to see and all of the drivers really appreciated performing for the masses. The Saturday afternoon celebrity race was extremely well received, even though one of the local news anchors never made it past the first turn and the trash-talking feud between the Mayor of Sparks and the deputy Mayor of Reno, never gained the on-course rivalry as both participants had their hands full handling their Karts. Meanwhile their competitor, the editor of The Reno Gazette newspaper, an experienced international Kart racer, ran away with the field. A good time was had by all. We are currently putting together the final pieces for our upcoming schedule. There will be many surprises and will prove to be an exciting season of racing. You can expect a major announcement within the next couple of weeks about our next event. Buckle up. Thanks again to all of our participants, supporters, sponsors, Granite Springs Productions, the Reno/Sparks Visitors and Convention Authority, The Atlantis Casino Resort, Red Bull and Speed Channel.
