What a showdown! Steve Murray's high pitched modified Parilla
Reedjet was running fast times until the header broke off and sent the
pipe flying. Ear Piercing loud - Jonathon Beason slowly reeled Steve
in and finally passed him with his Maxtor ICA setup kart. Then
passing the flagman, Jonathon saw a black flag intended for a different
competitor and pulled off, giving Steve Murray the Triad.

This class put on some great racing with Paulie
Harraka crossing the Finish Line 4 seconds ahead of Ansel Gaddy. In
tech it was found that Paulie's motor had an illegal key per KART rules.
Normally the Harraka's run the WKA series, in which the key is a non-tech
item. Paul Sr had contacted the KART Tech Director about the rules
in advance to which he was given the impression that the rules were the
same as WKA. Paul was not able to get a copy of a KART Rulebook in
advance of the race.
It's issues like this that could easily be avoided if
the organizations like KART/IKF/WKA would post their rules on the
internet.
