What'up?
Kartweb projects keep on coming
It ain't over yet, but the year end is
drawing nearer. The new year promises to be a spectacular year in
karting after a few years of turbulent "turf-wars" across the landscape,
2005 looks to signal the coming together for karting. Fragmentation
is out, unification is in.
As we've recently put up the remaining 7 RIGP Race
Videos for our Subscribers, no doubt the holiday video traffic will again
be in high gear. As many karters find themselves visiting relatives
over the Holidays Kartweb Streaming video is extremely popular. For
the Holidays we're adding over an hour of very exciting overseas kart
racing video. (Of course watching Kartweb DVD's are a good way to
spend some time too!)
Through the winter months is when we release the bulk
of our technical articles and videos. Coming up in December for
subscribers are two very informative articles for 125CC competitors;
ICC Vrs Moto - The Dyno War
We've put 4 motors on the Dyno, an ICC and a Moto each
among the best products from 2 well known motor builders. Then we
took the output curves and plotted them to show how it relates to driving
and tuning differences. Both the expected and unexpected are
revealed.
Tuning & Building the CR125 Part II
With new SKUSA Rules for Motos in 2005 what will it
take to get the most out of your motor? Not as much as you think.
We've been working on development since August and have made some pretty
good strides. The good news is the changes are not too drastic and
really enhance drivability. Yes it is a little less potent, but not
much. It may actually improve lap times for some drivers.
If you haven't seen Part I of the CR125 Building &
Tuning Guide yet and you race a Moto (Yamah or Honda) It's simply the
bible on building a top shelf motor. No other motor manual will ever
be needed besides this guide, it's a complete end-to-end document.
If you just can't stand the idea of buying a ticket to
the best videos and technical guides available, take the time to read over
the free 2-stoke technical articles in the Tech Section.
Not everyone races a shifter, and we have some
excellent features coming geared to suit everyone;
Karting & Racing Games Review
There are good ones, and there are not so good ones.
Some of our staffers have been busy "testing" (PLAYING) them.
Not hard to get volunteers for overtime with this assignment! We'll
give you the rundown on what we've learned.
Mychron Race Studio Part III -
Application
Hands down, the first two Mychron Data Acquisition
videos in the Subscriber Section are the most informative training media
ever produced. You'll learn more in 20 minutes of watching them then
you can learn from 20 hours of reading the manuals.
Part II Applications delves into where no one has ever
taken Data Acquisition documentation before - how to apply the data to the
define the specific changes your kart needs to find several of those
precious tenths. Sometimes it's in the kart sometimes it's in the
driver. In any case knowing how to interpret the data and apply the
necessary changes will make you faster. Learn the secrets that only
the few in truly know.

across the county in early 2005 for the new year. It's gonna be a
