Texas State Junior/Kid Kart Shootout
The Heart O' Texas Kart Club in Waco will be hosting the Inaugural
Texas State Junior/Kid Kart Shootout on October 16th and 17th. There
will be 5 classes competing in this event:
Kid Kart 1 - Drivers with less than 1 year experience requiring the
stock carb restrictor. 5 - 7
Kid Kart 2 - Drivers with over 1 year experience without the carb
restrictor. 6 - 7
Junior 1 Lt - Cadet chassis with KT100, 4 hole can, and small carb
at 225lbs. 8 - 11
Junior 2 Hvy - Full sized chassis with KT100, 4 hole can, and small
carb at 250lbs. 8 - 11
Junior Supersportsman - KT100, 4 hole can, and large carb at
305lbs. 12-15
All classes will run under WKA engine rules. T111 race fuel will be
available at the track. This race will also run rain or shine.
The track will open at 8:00 AM Saturday for registration and
pre-tech, with controlled practice starting at 9:00. Practice will
conclude at 4:00 PM, as there will also be a regularly scheduled club
race that night. The track will again open at 8:00 AM Sunday morning
for registration and pre-tech, and controlled practice starting at
9:00. Practice will close at 10:30, with the drivers meeting at 11:00.
The race format will include timed qualifying beginning at 11:15 AM,
followed by a pre-final and a final for all classes. The awards
presentation will immediately follow post-race tech.

There will be a regularly scheduled club event on Saturday night
October 16th. Classes include Kid Kart, Junior 1/2, Junior
Supersportsman, Junior Exibition, and the Senior Bracket classes.
Those in attendance for the Junior Shootout can participate in the
club race at the normal club member rate of $20.00, including Senior
entries.
