FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 1, 2004 – AUSTIN, TX Because of Mexico’s reputation for producing some of the world’s most highly regarded race teams, Iron Rock Raceway and MRP Motorsports have announced plans to host the Tex-Mex Karters Cup, an event designed to give U.S. race kart drivers the opportunity to race against some of the best.

The series, which will consist of six to eight races over several weekends, could begin as early as Spring of 2005. Numerous classes would be represented, including 125cc, 100cc and 80cc. MRP Motorsports plans a special award for the best placing Mexican driver: a helmet adorned with the Mexican flag.

"This will be an excellent opportunity for members to learn and benefit from racing with international racers at a truly world-class facility," says Rony Miron, manager of MRP Motorsports/Iron Rock. "In our first series, we not only expect to attract drivers from Mexico, but from Central and South America as well."

Iron Rock is already discussing sponsorship opportunities with automotive dealers and suppliers anxious to attach their names to the international event.

Iron Rock Raceway, one of the nation’s first country clubs devoted primarily to kart racing, expects to open at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas, on January 15, 2005. MRP Motorsports, the nation's largest importer of the highly regarded Italian-made Birel chassis, is the on-site racing school and karting dealership for Iron Rock Raceway. Iron Rock is now accepting applications for its first 60 memberships. Persons interested in becoming a member should request an application at the Iron Rock website, www.ironrockraceway.com or call 512.349.9165.
