This past weekend on October 10 the Italian Championships were held at Sienna in Italy.

The Intrepid factory decided to participate in the Italian Championships one month prior to the race and made an agreement with long time shifter pilot 36 year old Gianluca Antonini to drive the Intrepid in the race with TM power.  Antonini was very confident with the Intrepid knowing that one year prior, the Intrepid qualified pole position in the 125 ICC class at the European championships.
Antonini did what he planned and took his Intrepid to victory and stood  on the top spot of the  podium this past weekend  against 147 other competitors at the Italian championships in the 125 ICC class.  Antonini qualified on pole and won all of the heat races and the prefinal. Antonini continued his weekend of domination with a 3 second win in the final.

Gianluca Antonini represented his Intrepid/TM with a brilliant result on a very important weekend.

The Italian Championship series has long been the center of the major chassis manufacturers most sought after goal, much the way Ferrari focuses on the Italian Grand Prix.  Victory in the Italian Series Championship bodes well for any chassis manufacturer.  This year the chassis title belongs to Intrepid.
