SKUSA SuperNats Track Preview

Posted in the SKUSA Trailer at the World Finals was a picture of the track layout at the SuperNats - and what a layout!

17 Turns with a back straight that if to scale looks to be 1400 feet long!  Look for 17/22 - 18/23 gearing.   Throw in a couple of tight turns and the turn 11 hairpin will bring it down to first gear at least once, maybe up to 3 times.  This layout will separate the thrashers from the smooth-foots as it will eat rear tires.

Just to add a real twist for set-up is the long winding turn 14.  At an estimated 550' in length "terminal velocity" should be reached at just about 1/2way through - giving an easy pass to those with just a 1 mph faster setup through this turn.  And you can bet there will be passing.

This track could just be the most challenging temp course ever devised.  Looks to be almost as good as Oak Hill Texas, a track originally designed as the ultimate 250cc MotoGP Track - all it needs is the hills and runoff of Oak Hill.

Could be the extra 20 minute drive from the "Hooker Bar" will be worth the trip, this track layout is awesome.
