SKUSA World Finals

Racing under the lights at OMC made the World Finals special this year.  Without the blazing Oklahoma sun,  temperatures were perfect for racers and spectators.  With a good coat of rubber laid down in the day from the Region's Cup races, the grip was excellent and still remained relatively smooth.

The top shifter drivers in America came either to drive or tune.  Turn out was about the same this year as last year a good sign considering the SKUSA ProTour had very little promotion this year.  The World Finals tend to wrap up the year for SKUSA as the SuperNationals typically consists of class structures for the next year.  National Title Champions are crowned but series titles have lost their meaning over the last few years.  People come to race and race they did.

48 total entries in the 4 classes managed to put on a good show.  With 3 125 classes totaling 34 of the entries, one wonders what it would have been like with all 34 on track at the same time....

We are producing two Kartweb Reports! videos from the weekend that highlights the best of the racing.  They should run about 10-15 minutes each and there is some awesome footage included.  Enjoy.

It seems like every time Sciuto comes to the World Finals he takes home another Gold Medal.  This year it wasn't exactly a cakewalk.  Pulling a few tenths in the first 1/3 of the race, Rudolph and Noud slowly began to reel Scuito back in - by 2/3's distance is was the SuperPro Freight Train for the podium spots.    Catching and passing are two different things.  Top built ICC's are pretty equal and with the smooth surge of power they have it's not as likely for a driver under pressure to bobble.  Scuito kept his cool giving him the top spot on the podium.
