WKA Announces TaG Engine Specifications

WKA has released an update on the engine specifications and tech procedures for the TaG engines that will be running in the Manufacturer’s Cup and National Road Racing Series events at Daytona. These rules will be used during post race tech inspection in both series. Based on our experience with the rules at Daytona, they may be updated and clarified before being included in a Tech Manual Update. Latest Update for Daytona Kart Week Events

Here is the latest information for all of the events that will take place during Daytona Kart Week. This includes the Briggs & Stratton Day, Speedway Dirt, Manufacturer’s Cup, and National Road Racing Series events. Also included are a few 2005 rule changes that are being deferred to March 1, 2005. Pavement Series To Discontinue Thursday Practice

WKA officials have recently announced the discontinuation of the Thursday Optional Practice Day for the Speedway Pavement Series in 2005. Citing a lack of future support due to the incereasing demands on work and school schedules, series competitors will continue to have a full day of practice, as always, on Friday, with two rounds on race day mornings Saturday and Sunday. Horstman Gold Cup Series Schedule Gets Final Facelift

As the 2005 National Schedule for all series nears completion, the final dates and venues for the Horstman Gold Cup Series have been finalized. While the series first race will remain at 103rd Street Sports Complex in Jacksonville, Florida March 11 - 13, the shape of the schedule has changed dramatically following that.
