Italian Motors David Jurca
Wins Big At Stars Finale in ICC
One of the most recent triumph’s came at the Stars finale for David Jurca
in the ICC category in Austin, Texas. Jurca took the lead on lap 17 from
Alex Speed and would go on to capture on of the biggest karting event’s of
the year piloting his Italkart/Italian Motors TM.
Whitt Wins Rookie of the Year and
Places third in Stars ICA Title
Cole Whitt, competing in his rookie year of senior
competition in the highly competitive ICA Pro class was in contention for
the National Championship, scoring 3 wins in the last 6 races after
switching to the Italian Motors Team.
Thursday evening prior to the event, the Stars organization held their
annual year end Stars of Karting Banquet. Special awards were given to
recognize top drivers in their respective categories. Cole Whitt was
awarded with “Rookie of the Year”. This special award was given to the
driver with the most impressive season among the Senior Pro ICA and ICC
classes. Cole would also go on to place third in the Stars Championship.
SAC Motorsports Wins Skusa Nations Cup
SAC is one of the newest Italkart dealers
based in Louisville, Colorado. SAC claimed the victory in TAG Sr. at the
SKUSA Nation’s Cup. Seth Chapa abourd his Italkart Supersonic finished off
a dominant weekend by bringing home the #1 TaG Sr. plate and winning a
trip to the SKUSA SuperNationals!
Sketchley Western Canadian Rotax Jr
Champ
Dustin Sketchley aboard his Italkart Quattro took home every championship
he entered by also claiming the Central Interior Karting series and BCKCA
Regional series in the Rotax Junior category. "Being this fast our first
year in Rotax says alot about my mechanics (father Doug and Granpa Ron
Sketchley), myself and how we work as a team. Overall it was a very good
season; my only regret is not being able to make the Nationals in
Montreal. However, with the Nationals coming to Edmonton in 2006 you can
be sure to see us there racing Rotax Senior. " Dustin would like to thank
Rampage Racing engines, Sketchley Automotive, Ernest Ouellette and the
rest of his family for all their support.
