“Pro Shifter and Rotax
Senior brought to you by – FirstKart.com”
Guelph, ON. – November 4, 2005. In an effort to give back to the karting
community, the FirstKart.com race team has signed on to support the 2006
Formula Kart Racing Florida Winter Tour (FWT). With one of the largest and
most professionally run Arrive and Drive race team in North America,
FirstKart.com will bring several drivers to the sunshine state for some
‘Serious Fun’ in the Florida Sun.
“After the great success we had last year at the FWT claiming three big
championships and with the promotion that we received from the series, I
knew that we would have to be back as both competitors and sponsors and
didn’t have to think twice about getting back on board to support Formula
Kart’s Bill Wright his excellent series,” explained Team Manager Tony
Ventresca. “It is a long winter for us back in Canada, so this is a great
way to get out and do some racing during the winter months. Last season we
were able to claim three championships including the headline ICC division
with Daniel Morad, Rotax Junior with Colombian Gustavo Yacaman and Rotax
Senior Heavy with Australian Derek Cunningham.”
“We are pleased to have firstkart.com on board for the 2006 season,”
explained Wright from his Florida office. “This year’s series is going to
be bigger and better then previous years and with the level of competition
being brought south as portrayed by First Kart, there is going to be some
great racing action. The FirstKart.com race team is one of the most
professional companies in all of karting and we are glad to have them as
part of our growing series.”
The FirstKart.com race team has had a lot of success over the past couple
of years garnering several regional and national championships along the
way. In ’03 Bobby Wilson claimed the Stars of Tomorrow ICC crown and in
2005 young Daniel Morad claimed the Florida Winter Tour ICC championship.
Both Gustavo Yacaman and Zach Schiff have torn up the junior categories at
the national level claiming the JICA and 80cc Junior classes respectively
at the Stars of Karting National Championship.
