ROAD AMERICA 2005 VIDEO
Road America is known as one of the longest tracks in America at 4.0 miles.  Plenty of length to stretch your legs provides some spectacular drafting action on this legendary track.

Dan Barth provided us with this and few other spectacular on-board videos that give the viewer an "in the seat" perspective of the high speed world of Long Track Racing.  Dan and his father Tom may be known best for Green Flag racing, out of Waterford Michigan.

While most Long Track racing would use a standing start, Road America uses a rolling start.  Starting from somewhere well back in the pack the TM K9B powered Birel makes a beeline for the front of the field but doesn't stay there for long.  Notice how the Honda powered karts have torque off the bottom and the top speed advantage where the TM has a ton of mid range.

Long Tracks are famous for lots of passing.  Just in the first 3 minutes you'll see more passing action then 3 hours of sprint racing provides.  Three wide, sometimes four wide heading into a turn!

Sit back and enjoy the show.

Oh yes, and if you're in the market for any products Green Flag offers, you owe it to yourself to give them a call.  Tom is probably one of the nicest guys you'll ever deal with.  If you own a Dell'Orto Carb Tom has the best tuner's manual on the planet for it.

Those of you who know us also know we don't just endorse anyone in the business.  But we give Tom & Green Flag two thumbs up.  Tell Tom thanks for the video the next time you speak with him!
