North Texas Karters Announces
2nd Annual “Road to the Rock”
Once again NTK is working with Roger Ruthhart to send Texas and
Oklahoma racers to the Rock Island Grand Prix in September 2006.
After a very successful inaugural ‘Road to the Rock’ series founded
by Tammy Heslor in 2005 NTK members and area racers are excited to
contest again for paid entry fees and expenses up to the amount of
$500 at the prestigious RIGP.
NTK invites all area racers to join us in this series which will
consist of six races run at North Texas Kartway during the Spring &
Summer series of 2006 (March through August). The winner of each of
the eligible classes of the ‘Road to the Rock’ will be awarded
provisions to compete at the 2006 Rock Island Grand Prix. These
provisions include;
o Three night hotel accommodations, one room per winner for Friday,
Saturday & Sunday nights at the Radisson Davenport just 5 minutes
from the event
o Entry fee to the Rock Island Grand Prix (in the class you
participated in at NTK)
o Driver’s pass fee
o Tuner’s pass fee
o Paid practice fee
o One (1) 20x20 pit spot fee
Each class will be awarded up to $500 in RIGP expenses. NTK will
send in the forms and fees. The remainder of the money after the
fees are paid will be given to the driver when they return with
receipts from the Rock Island Grand Prix.
The Rock Island Grand Prix is held on Labor Day weekend September
2-3, 2006 in Rock Island, Illinois. Winners must partake in the Rock
Island race or forfeit the prize to the next place finisher in their
class in the ‘Road to the Rock’ series.
The following classes will be eligible for the ‘Road to the Rock’
series;

NTK ‘Road to the Rock’ series will need to fill out a series
registration form and pay a one time processing fee of $25.
The series will be six races. One drop allowed. The best five
