The 2006 Southwest Regional Cup Schedule and more information about
the SWRC is now available at www.swregionalcup.com. This year, we
are excited to welcome two new tracks to the SWRC series -- Gulf
Coast Kartways of Katy, Texas, and Kart RunCo -- San Antonio's brand
new karting track.
In 2006, the Southwest Regional Cup will include a Spring and a Fall
series, each consisting of three two-race weekends, which will
alternate between Iron Rock Raceway in Austin, Texas, the Oklahoma
Motorsports Complex in Norman, Oklahoma, San Antonio's Kart RunCo
(Summer Series) and Gulf Coast Kartways expanded track in Katy,
Texas (Fall series). |
Each race weekend will include a Saturday practice session for all
signed entrants from 9 am until 12 pm, followed by qualifying, a
pre-final and closing with the First Main Event. Sunday will be a
whole new race day that will begin with qualifying and end with the
Second Main Event. Due to the short duration of these series, no
drops will be allowed.
Membership with the World Karting Association will be required for
the Southwest Regional Cup.
