I have read the rules of this contest and claim all responsibility as the owner of any copyrights associated with the submitted video as described below. I hereby grant full authority the Rolling Thunder Multimedia Productions to copy and distribute the video I have submitted for non-profit or profit purposes. I hereby release Rolling Thunder Multimedia Productions of any financial gains they may earn from this video. I understand the submitted video will not be returned to me.

I also agree that Rolling Thunder Multimedia Productions, and Kartweb cannot be held legally responsible for any damages or injuries that may have resulted in the submitted video as the events which this video were filmed at pre-dated the 2002 Kartweb Video Submission contest.

General Contest Rules

1) Videos must be submitted by the original author. Kartweb will be provided with permission to use the submitted clips to post for the purposes of this contest.

2) Videos may be on-board or trackside coverage.

3) Acceptable video media is limited to any digital format viewable with the Windows Media Viewer release 9. The following requirements apply to submitted media;

320 x 240 pixel size minimum screen size
29.97 or greater Frames per second
600 Kilobits per second or higher data rate
Must be clips of on-track action
Must have been shot at an event held prior to November 14 2002
Any accidents etc. that include injuries will not be shown
CD, DVD, Mini-DVD, High 8, or Mini-DV tape media
Time of play range - 30 seconds to 15 minutes max. *

4) Media submitted must have completed entry form included. Kartweb is not responsible for returning your media.

5) Media must be postmarked no later the Dec. 14th and received by Dec. 20.

6) Due to the volume of videos that may be received, Kartweb panel of judges will pre-screen review the media, and select the final 10 submissions to be selected for the Main Event. Those top ten productions will be posted on January 6 2003 with a poll from the Kartweb Forum to vote on the winning videos. Only one IP address per vote will be allowed. Voting will close February 2nd, and the winners will be announced February 3 2003.

7) Pre-screening will be based on a points system for the following;

Entry form description content accurate - 1-10 points
Screen size - 320 x 240 = 5 points, larger is more points (10 max)
Visual quality - 1-10 points
Content Quality 1-10 points
Audio Quality 1-5 points
Each camera position of event = 5 points
Editing required by Kartweb subtracts points 1-10

8) Prizes

First Place - $300 cash
Second Place - $100 cash
Third Place - $50 cash
All 10 finalists will be given their choice of a free Kartweb Video CD.
