Racing action was another barn burner.  failing to get a good start, John Kindhart fell off the pace by just a tick to loose touch with the front running battle of Nelson, Nick and Mauricio.  First it was Nelson leading, then Nick, then Nelson, with Maurico just behind.  As the pack strung out during the 20 lap battle, action was non-stop.  Nelson Phillippe definitely had the driving style of the weekend pitching the kart perfectly through the turns brushing the hay bales twice on the outside and once on the inside of every turn in a nearly perfect 4 wheel drift.  Lap after lap.

Honorable mention to Stuart Robinson demonstrating the smooth lines he developed from his career in road racing make for good progress as he moved up several positions until a minor avoidance incident took him out.  Kyle Piepenbrok managed to turn the most consistent lap times throughout the race finishing 6th.

In the end it was Nelson Phillippe first across the finish line.  In his excitement, Nelson forgot to take the victory lap until he reached turn 1, shut off his kart, and promptly ran back (700 feet) at full sprint to take interview.
