Race 15E Biland Experimental Report
What is a Biland?
Its a 250cc 2 cylinder 4 valve 4 stroke that was originally built for an automotive application. It has recently found its way into karting. producing about the same peak power as a Rotax, but over a much wider powerband, it may become the next hot new motor in karting. More information will soon be posted in Kartweb's New Product Introduction articles. You won't believe the sound....
Eight drivers were given the opportunity to try the Biland. Qualifying times were about half a second above the 80cc's, but about a second under the Rotax.
