Uncle Joe Karter Needs C You !

Kartweb.com is in search of Field Reporters that plan on attending a Regional Racing Series and have an interest in developing their reporting and sponsorship gathering skills.

You submit us a report on the race we attended and we provide you with a chance to have your local kart shop pay you for advertising within your race report.  Everyone wins with this concept. 

• Your local kart shop gets valuable advertising at a fraction of the normal cost, usually a cost of $50 per report that YOU pocket. 
• You get the recognition of being a Kartweb Field Reporter and are rewarded by your local kart shop with a check up to $50 per report.  Plus you will receive one free Kartweb video CD for each report we publish.  Moreover, you will be added to the Field Reporters drawing at the end of 2003 for stuff like a free Kartcam.
• Kartweb.com gets the reporting action for our News.  In order for us to achieve our goals of “Best in Class” of karting news we need your help.

What does it really take?

Well if the world were perfectly round and we all had Woltjer’s best engines and every event would also have an AMB scoring system and we would all win.  But the world is kinda bumpy round, and only a few have the coveted Woltjer motors, and even fewer have AMB scorings systems, and well guess what else, there is only one winner.  Now if you recognized the last sentence was a run-on sentence, you probably have all the composition skills necessary.

All we really need are the top five finishers in each class. Any track records would be a nice credit to whoever holds the new honors.  A few words about the track conditions may not hurt.  Any other interesting items of significance might be worth a sentence or two, but nothing beyond the top 5 (or less if less entries) is really required.

Even if you do not have a Woltjer motor, and you do not win, if your Region uses an AMB scoring system it would be REALLY NICE if some arrangements could be made to get the AMB files downloaded to Kartweb.com.  That way your job of reporting turns into a $500 an hour job where you get to work about 6 minutes at every race.  Not bad pay when you can get it.

Where do we start?

Through the rest of this year we will begin filling our positions for the 2003 season.  What we need to know is;

• Your Name, email address, and phone number
• What Organization will you be running (IKF/WKA/SKUSA/etc)
• What Region you will be running
• Who is your Regional Director (a name & a phone number)
• What Kart shop(s) would you prefer to work with  (a name & a phone number)

Kartweb.com will provide a new web page for Field Reporters coming in October.  There will be all the necessary on-line forms to enable you to sign up.  Each of those selected will receive phone calls for interviews in early January.  Once we have our staff in place we will work with your preferred Kart Shop to arrange your benefits from them.
