Track Description Technical nine turn track featuring banking
in turn 1, two sets of esses, and two straights. At 16-18'
wide passing is challenging and there are two common passing points.
Track surface is well groomed and very well lit for night racing. Member owned, there is no fee for member practice in the day time.
There is a fee to turn on the lights. There are about 200 members
representing the largest club in the central division. Turn 9 is the
most important turn leading onto the 618 foot straight. Turn 1
is banked at 18° and the apex is later then it looks. Turn 2
can be taken tight or wide it's just a matter of what the driver
prefers. Turn 3 is the slowest point of the track with a late
apex. Turn 4 sets you up for the 5-6 chicane. The exit
from the chicane is vital to carry speed into the 540 foot long
straight. Turn 7 is a 180° leading into a short chute into 8.
It's tempting to make a pass on the chute sometimes although it
usually means you'll be passed back exiting 9. Turn 8 apex is
sacrificed to the early side to set up for 9. "If you're fast
into 8 by 1 you'll be late". Walk the track especially around
turns 8-9 to figure the best line to carry speed through 9 and down
the straight.
