Track Description Oak Hill is more like a giant sprint tack
then a road course. Plenty wide enough for passing, There is
really only one wide open straight and that has a hill and a midway
curve. The Start-Finish is located about 400 feet from turn 1
which is wide open with drifting. Heading down the long
backstraight about midway there is a kink - and a bump - the first
time through at speed you'll be sucking the seat through your suit.
At close to 100 mph the kart will pick up and move over about two
feet to the right - the Mychron will punch up as high as 125 mph!
Heading into turn 2 leads through a series of short straights and
turns, off camber, downhill, uphill, and into a medium chute leading
to "Chicken Hill". The Chickens are the ones lifting off the
throttle.... Two more turns takes you into the sharp decreasing
radius clubhouse turn, the slwoest point on the track, about 30mph.
From there its down to the final 180° right hander about 400 feet
from the Start-Finish line. |
